Affordable Olive Green Duster Jacket
LIGHT DUSTER JACKET WEATHER
Sun is out, spring is here. Gorgeous blossoms are blooming all over Boston, especially along Commonwealth Avenue in the Back Bay. Even though we had a bit of snow today and it was raining off and on - spring is here!
I'm over winter and heavy coats. I'm more than ready to swap for lighter outerwear, and this olive green duster jacket is perfect! It is easy, breezy, and lightweight. This piece drapes like a trench coat with lapel flaps and has a ribbon tie to keep the jacket together. It is long sleeve but I prefer to roll up the sleeves to a 3/4 length and secure with the button tab. I purchased this transitional jacket from Forever21 for $20!! It's affordable and easy to wear. One downside is that it wrinkles fairly easily.
ALL BLACK EVERYTHING (minus THE SHOES)
I pulled in my favorite Free People v-neck mesh camisole and dug out my favorite pair of black J Brand jeans. These jeans are high-waisted and distressed from mid-thigh to just under the knee. The distressing is symmetrical on both legs. Mine are extra frayed around the knees because they're so well loved. Unfortunately, I was unable to wear these J Brand jeans this New England winter as it was just too cold. No frost bitten knees for me. However, they do just fine in 50+ degree weather! These jeans are a couple inches too long for me so I tucked them in above my ankles to make them wearable with booties.
Keeping with the all black theme, I added my new black face Rosefield watch for arm candy. For contrast but complimentary color pairing, I added my warm-toned Coach booties to complete the outfit.
